George, Cambridge (C1)

Can you imagine what it’s like to be BLIND and score the highest mark on the Cambridge exam, while also graduating from a prestigious university like the Conservatory of Bucharest?

George has 100% visual impairment due to being born with congenital glaucoma.

He came to Andreea Berkhout Academy, through IntegralEdu, with a dream: to pass the Cambridge (C1) exam and build a career in music production. A big dream, with real obstacles — but the Andreea Berkhout Academy team supported him wholeheartedly.

For the Cambridge exam, he benefited from special conditions adapted for the blind. Despite the challenges, he achieved something extraordinary: 210 out of 210 in the Speaking paper. A perfect score.

George wants to become a music producer — he dreams of “painting with sound.” He might not realize it yet, but he’s already doing that — with every barrier he overcomes.

Shall I also tell you that George’s next language goal is to get certified in Spanish with the DELE exam? Can you imagine how proud we are to keep preparing him?

George is proof that disability isn’t the end of the road — it’s just another path to shine.
