Valentina, OET Nursing

Finding a nursing position in Romania where you can truly help patients, whether physically or mentally ill, is a serious challenge. In the state medical system, access to jobs is often based more on bribes and nepotism than on genuine merit.
Valentina graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Galați. Hoping to contribute to the well-being of patients without waiting years for a genuinely competitive job opening, she decided to register with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) to practice in the UK.
To achieve her dream, she began preparing for the OET Nursing exam – the English language test exclusively for general nurses. Valentina confesses that the most difficult parts were Writing (the medical letter) and Reading (which contains three medically-specific sub-tests). She worked tremendously hard, and her effort paid off: a B score in all sections, including those that caused her (and us) the most anxiety!
While going through the registration stages with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK, Valentina is gaining practical experience at a dental office in Bucharest, which welcomed her with open arms.
If you also want to work as a nurse abroad, in a system where your work is recognized and fairly rewarded, write to us! We'll prepare you step-by-step for the language exams required in any country and help you transition to an international career.
Valentina succeeded. When will you start?
