Most European staff in NHS come from Ireland, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Romania.

The latest statistics about NHS mention that the majority of staff are British, while 62.000 employees are nationals of EU countries. Romania holds the sixth place in the top of European health professionals in the UK, following Ireland, Poland, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

India and The Philippines provide most of the non-EU NHS staff, coming before Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Ghana, Malaysia and Australia.
